Napier & Blakeley Supports the Property Industry Foundation in the Sydney Charity Sailing Cup
Napier & Blakeley were pleased to again support The Property Industry Foundation in the Sydney Charity Sailing Cup. This is a unique opportunity for client entertainment, business networking and relationship building, whilst also making a difference to desperate kids who are doing it tough, by raising money to build a home for homeless young people.
The event was well supported with over 700 people, 8 spectator boats and 42 yachts participating with approximately over $300,000 raised for homeless young people.
We boarded Eagle Rock at King Street Wharf, which is a beautiful boat adoringly looked after by her crew. Whilst we did practice drills before the race – all under the professional guidance of our skipper and crew, we enjoyed a luncheon with some drinks. Continue reading
The Regatta was hosted by the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron which will also host sailing events for the 2032 Olympics, so we’re in good company.
The day consisted of little wind, beautiful weather, great food platters, a couple of sunburned faces, sock tans, and a championship trophy. Our boat, McMoggy, took first place within the multi-hull event and although this could be considered a technical win (other boats gave up and motored in due to the lack of wind) the N&B team persisted and a win is a win and, more importantly, we have the trophy to prove it!
