Ian Gardner has joined Napier & Blakeley as an Associate Director.
Based in Melbourne and working with our national teams, Ian will add further value to our both our property development and asset advisory services – with particular focus on asset performance and lifecycle advisory.
Ian has earned the role of ‘trusted advisor’ from serving property and development clients over nearly 30 years, working with some of Australia’s top engineering consultancies. He has an intimate knowledge of property markets and the industry, has been an active member of PCA and FMA for many years and has a long association at the top levels of the NABERS and CBD schemes.
He has expert knowledge of building services design and operations, utilising data analytics and technology to achieve the best commercial and sustainable outcomes for new developments, existing building refurbishments and portfolio management.
He also has significant experience across building assessment and benchmarking systems such as NABERS, Green Star, WELL, GRESB and NGERS.
Ian will work closely with all parts of our business, adding value to:
- technical due diligence and development monitoring;
- building assessment and benchmarking;
- energy efficiency assessment and roadmaps for improvement;
- strategic asset management; and
- lifecycle assessment and capex planning.

We are pleased to announce that Jay Panditharatne has joined Napier & Blakeley as Senior Engineering & Facilities Consultant.
Based in Melbourne and working with our national teams, Jay will add further value to our asset advisory – with particular focus on strategic asset management.
Jay is a well-known and respected senior engineer and facilities consultant who brings international experience to facilities management. He is well connected within the industry and has a detailed understanding of building technology and building services. Experience gained over 30 years and while working on much of Melbourne’s premium properties.
Jay will work closely with all parts of the business utilising data analytics and technology for the purpose of:
- asset registers;
- building assessment and benchmarking;
- energy efficiency assessment and roadmaps for improvement;
- risk management;
- strategic asset management, and
- lifecycle assessment and capex planning.
